Facilitation & Mediation

I facilitate conflict resolution, often arising from communication and relationship difficulties, using the model of Nonviolent Communication, also known as Empathic Listening and Mindful Communication.

I work with private individuals and large organisations, both corporate and NGO. Highlights have included the following work for the Glencree Peace and Reconciliation Centre;
    • Facilitator for the Peace Education Programme. As part of the team, I educated groups of teenagers in communication skills, conflict resolution and teamwork/leadership skills.
    • Workshop Leader for the staff and volunteers; teaching techniques for self-care and how to maintain one’s vitality and energy.
    • Offered education on the values and essential working principles of Nonviolent Communication.
    • Currently working as a facilitator on the “Sustainable Peace Project” in association with Wilhelm Verwoerd.

Sarah has a unique talent for holding a group, gently allowing everyone the freedom to do and say what they need. At the same time you get the feeling that there is a gentle hand on the tiller and the group will not be allowed to stray off course or derail
